WALLACE & GROMIT’S CHARITY EPIC!!
Hi All Bashers,
On the 20th June Wallace & Gromit, two TVPB “Wrinkles,” will set off on a Charity “French Ride” to undertake a cycle from Bilbao to Roscoff – approximately 800 miles! They will ride fully loaded & intend to camp en-route which will probably take them at least 3 weeks to complete.
Both Wallace, who will then be 80, and Gromit at 78 are recovering from Cancer and they are raising money to support 2 Cancer Charities and Muscular Dystrophy.
They will be joined on this epic journey by a “Young Basmarty”, who, having been discharged from Langdon as surplus to requirements, has kindly agreed to help with the planning, feats of strength, hill climbing, Rugby information etc, and any complex psychiatric problems – should the need arise.
But that’s not all! The Tweedles will also join them en-route in France – most appropriate as Tweedledum is a Cancer victim too, plus the fact that both the Tweedles have also had both hips replaced.
Last, but not least, is Plugger who has offered to transport them and their bikes to Bristol Airport for free – Plugger has also fought off Prostate Cancer – what a Motley Crew they make!!
So that’s what it’s all about? Cancer is something that can, and has, affected so many Bashers. Therefore, please be sympathetic and give generously to their designated Bank Account.
Sort Code 40-64-20 Acc. No. 11918614.
They also have a Go Fund Me page at –

Wallace and Gromit would like to thank you all for taking the time to read this. OR, you can cross their palms directly with “folding silver”. Pottsie (non-invasive Bladder Cancer) or Sticky would also be happy to take your money on their behalf.
Ride On,
Pottsie

2018 TVPB Awards & Lunch
Hi Bashers, this year’s 2018 Awards/Oscars will be held on Sunday 3rd February at THE WELCOME INN, DAWLISH WARREN, as this is now less than 3 weeks away you need to act QUICKLY if you would like to attend.
The Lunch will be provided to BASH TAX PAYERS at the BARGAIN PRICE of £5, NON-TAXPAYERS and GUESTS will pay £8 – cos that’s what it’s costing TVPB.
We will be seated in the function room – which has been upgraded in terms of seating & heating, there is plenty of free on-site parking plus direct contact to bus & train services.
The new Landlords are offering us a quality meal, which will also be served in the function room, and a choice of 2 real ales, therefore we have decided to go for the change as it gives a chance to return to a safe riding area – that we already know from past experience.
Because we don’t have a lot of time you need to buy your £5 lunch tickets ASAP by paying Pottsie or Sticky in hard cash, or if you can’t get to a Bash Ride, or you prefer to pay electronically the funds can be transferred to Barclays Bank, Acc No. 90455377, Sort Code 20-60-88 – However if you use this method please email Sticky at dowen0666@gmail.com and let him know.
Let’s be having you, cos where else are you going to get a carvery Sunday lunch for £5? Please note, if you want to eat then you must pre-book as it’s NOT POSSIBLE to pay on the day. The very latest date for booking is Thursday 31st January!!! If you are a veggie, please let us know when booking. We plan to serve lunch from 2:15. and hope that the whole awards ceremony will be complete by 4:30.
Thanking you in anticipation of your prompt action.

BOBBIBALL WEEKEND – February 2019
Hi All,
Please see below details of next years Bobbiball weekend that Anna ‘Always’ (or is it Bothways? I always get them mixed up!!) Atkinson has asked me to post.
Its that time of the year when we start taking bookings for the amazing the “Bobbibal Festival”.
This year however the Bobbibal festival is being dedicated to Snakebite who was one of our regular “bobbiballers” only missing last year due to ill health. The date we have chosen for the 2019 weekend coincides with Snakey sadly losing his fight against cancer so for 1 year only we have renamed the festival “The Snakebite Festival” to allow us to celebrate a great guy, cyclist and friend.
This year we are going to the Brecon Beacons in Wales for a weekend of cycling and fun – yes the most fun you can legally have in one weekend. The format will be the same – Friday evening meeting for food & copious amounts of alcohol, Saturday a full day of cycling supported by a pub lunch and evening meal followed by a nights partying, bringing back the fancy dress theme. A final day of cycling ends the weekend on Sunday.
Dates February 08/02/2019 – 10/08/2019.
Venue: YHA Brecon Beacons
Cost: £65:00 per person in the hostel – sorry we have had to put the prices up this year due to the increase in the cost of the YHA hostel.
£35:00 per person in campervans – there should be enough room for campervans on site but we will confirm this.
Booking: Places will be in short supply in the hostel due to its size so BOOK EARLY. To secure your place a £20:00 deposit is required PLEASE email me once you have transferred the money and I will send you a receipt.
Once the hostel is full we will run a “cancellation list” for people interested and who were unable to book on. If interested please contact Anna
