Please can you let Bobbiball know if you are intending to ride from The Rock Inn, Yelverton , so he has some idea of numbers to confirm the venue.
On Friday 28th September, Basher Mike “Noddy” Slade is conducting the first of his personally led tours of Teignmouth Pavilions.
For all those interested in his project, you should meet Noddy “The Chief Tour Guide and Director of Maintenance and Facilities” at reception next Friday at 10.00 am, and it’s free !!
If you can’t make this one then they are due to take place every month. Noddy would welcome Bashers to support these tours as he is sure you would find them very worthwhile.
Hi Bashers & All friends of Jack Smith,
Sadly Jack was taken from us almost one year ago on September 29th.
We all miss him so much and we feel it is pertinent that we should dedicate Basmarty’s Bash ride on Sunday 30th September to his memory and our tragic loss.
So the RJ memorial bash will start from his spiritual home the Newton Abbot Rugby Club at 11.00 am. We should be back from the ride from 1.30 onwards.
N.B. There are plenty of flat traffic free trails to tackle if you don’t fancy the planned bash route. If you can’t ride or haven’t got a bike and loved Jack as much as us, then why not join us back at the club.
Hi all Bashers who are planning to come to Noddy & Big Ears Bash On Sunday 19th August.
Please note that the ride will start from Trucker’s field ~ NOT the Teign House Inn.
Just a quick clarification message with respect to Truckers weekend in August.
The shenanigans will commence from the afternoon of Friday 10th and Trucker has arranged for a minibus to transport us upto Dunsford for Fish & Chips either in The Royal Oak or The Walled Garden – depending on numbers. Therefore, please let Trucker know direct BY FRIDAY AUGUST 3rd AT THE LATEST if you will be there and if you want to eat, this will allow time for the orders to be placed and whichever venue we are using to prepare everything.
The rest of the weekend will be as previously promulgated, please note that although there will be some BBQ food and beer available for the paltry sum of £5 – HOW MUCH!! – that Bruce will collect on the weekend, people are requested to bring their own drink and additional food/nibbles etc – we cannot expect everything to be provided after all.
Any questions please direct to Trucker, Senior Bash Officers, or, as a last resort, myself.
ATTENTION ALL BASHERS
Truckers Annual Bash Bonanza Weekend will now be held on the weekend of Friday August 10th – Sunday 12th.
The Itinerary will be the same as previous years:-
Friday Afternoon/Early Evening – Arrive and Set-up Camp, meet and greet and share drinks nibbles etc.
Friday Evening – Fish & Chip Supper at a venue to be confirmed (Note: Trucker will require ‘ACCURATE’ numbers so that orders can be forwarded to the venue in advance.
Saturday – A ‘lesuirely’ Bash Ride (Usually involving a climb up one of the Valley Sides and a drop back down!!), followed by beers/lunch in one of the Valley pubs before returning to Truckers for aperitifs leading into the ‘Infamous’ Saturday Evening BBQ. Real Ale will be available and it is COMPULSARY to drink enough of it so that you are talking a brand new language that only you can understand – If you need any pointers, see me on the day!!!!
Sunday – The Routine Sunday Bash commencing at 11:00 and returning to the field for a BBQ down down before breaking camp and dispersing.
Any questions or queries then either contact myself, any of the Senior Officers or Trucker direct.
Hi All Bashers,
Please be advised that as well as a ‘TOTALLY FLAT’ Road ride this coming Sunday, BOBBIBALL is also offering some, Optional, ‘Off Road Segments’ too!!! In addition to planning a route incorporating segments to satisfy riders of both disciplines, he has also managed to organise a fayre at the pub on completion too.
Couple the Route, Fayre and the fact the Weather is going to be glorious too – why wouldn’t you want to be there? – Unless you’re undertaking the Dartmoor Classic which I know a lot of us are. Good luck to everyone wherever you are riding.
This Thursdays Bash will start at The Jolly Farmer, Newton Abbot. Please note that due to the fiendish route I have planned (well it’s not too bad really!!) the meeting time has been BROUGHT FORWARD TO 18:30 – that’s 6:30PM!!! This is to ensure we can get to the beer stop at Cafe 360 before their last orders @ 20:30.
Hope to see plenty of you there.
Tonight’s Bash ride will be led by Patch and will commence from ‘The Jolie Brise’ in Teignmouth. All participants are to note that due to the venue being part of the Wetherspoon chain, they are unable to provide us with our customary tray of Chips and Sausages! Therefore if anyone intends on eating they will have to purchase their own food alongside the compulsory half a gallon of ale!
Cheers and ON ON.
